Trulli
Welcome to the section dedicated to the Trulli of Puglia, a distinctive symbol of the region, known for their uniqueness and beauty. These cone-shaped buildings, built with dry stone without mortar, represent an extraordinary testimony to the Apulian tradition. Alberobello, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1996, is the city that best preserves these buildings, exemplifying the historical and cultural value of the trulli.
The trulli are scattered mainly in the sub-region of the Itria Valley and the best places to see them include the municipalities of Alberobello, Locorotondo, Martina Franca, Cisternino and Fasano. In these locations, the trulli are visible in both residential and rural contexts, with many transformed into b&bs, shops or masserie where you can stay.
Sleeping in a trullo is like taking a trip back in time, living in a context that preserves intact the centuries-old architectural traditions, but with all the modern comforts.
In this section we will explore in detail this fascinating peculiarity of Puglia, guiding you through itineraries in the enchanting villages of the Itria Valley, where the trulli are a constant presence in the landscape. Together we will discover the most famous places, such as Alberobello, but also the small hidden treasures of Locorotondo, Cisternino and Martina Franca, where it is possible not only to admire these unique structures, but also to stay in renovated trulli, for an authentic experience that will allow you to live the Apulian tradition in an unforgettable way!
