Brindisi Airport, also known as Salento Airport (BDS), is the main point of arrival for those coming from other Italian cities or from abroad. The distance between the airport and the town of Porto Cesareo is approximately 55km. Once you arrive at the airport you will have several options available to you.

1. By Bus

During the summer season, there are several bus lines that connect the main cities of Puglia, including Lecce, Brindisi and Taranto, to Porto Cesareo. The bus lines are comfortable and cheap, but are available mainly in the high season months (June-September).

The Salentoinbus company offers summer connections between the various seaside resorts of Salento. The rides are cheap but the journeys are often long due to traffic.

The Flixbus company offers direct connections from Naples and Rome.

2. By Car

The car is the best solution to reach Porto Cesareo and all the locations along the Salento coast. The distances are short and the SS101 state road allows for a quick and safe journey. Here are the main routes:

  • From Lecce, take the SS101 towards Porto Cesareo.
  • From Brindisi, follow the SS613 to Lecce and then the SS101.
  • From Taranto, follow the SS7 to Lecce and then the SS101.

3. With Private Driver or Transfer service

If you want a more comfortable and stress-free solution, you can opt for a private driver or a transfer service. This service offers the advantage of personalized transportation, avoiding the hassle of navigating traffic or looking for parking.

You can book a transfer service in advance, either online or through local travel agencies.
